i think now is a very good time for black people to be very strategic in our use of social media. as in, not arguing with racist bootlickers in comment sections, not making critical race 101 informational posts, not even acknowledging or speaking to the white gaze. there is really no use in wasting energy extrapolating, justifying, begging to a group of people who don’t believe in the value of their own lives let alone the lives of anything or anyone else. black lives matter is 4d chess because it presupposes the people we are trying to appeal to value spirit and life in any form–when it’s been fairly obvious that they don’t and will gleefully continue to exist within the bounds of a 400 year old death cult.
